This is a clinic for 9u-12u (AA, AAA, and Majors) pitchers and catchers!
The clinic will provide pitchers an introduction to:
- (1) basic pitching delivery mechanics from the stretch,
- (2) individual biomechanical analysis for efficient throwing delivery,
- (3) throwing fastballs with backspin, and
- (4) pitch charting.
The clinic will provide catchers the opportunity to work on:
- (1) receiving pitches thrown by live pitcher and by pitching machine,
- (2) body posture and position behind home plate,
- (3) framing and glovework, and
- (4) blocking and keeping the ball in front.
There are 8 total sessions (exact times TBD after registration):
- The first 2 pitching sessions will be lead by Justin Orenduff (LA Dodgers 2004 first round pick) on the evenings of December 5th and 6th at Extra Innings in Watertown.
- The remaining 6 sessions will occur on Sunday afternoons January 5th to February 9th, at the Newton South High School gym, with instruction from NSELL Majors coaches, Newton Bay State (independent youth summer league) coaches, and college catchers. These sessions will occur for an hour between 4-6pm.
Total cost per player for the 8 sessions is $250.00.
Sessions at Newton South High School gym are subject to snow closures, and makeups are not guaranteed.

Enrollment for this Pitchers/catchers clinic is limited to 25 participants.
To help NSELL better plan programming and capacity for this clinic, the registration asks players to select one of the following categories that best describes the player (cost is the same for regardless of selection):
