2025 NSELL Schwartz Cup Winner - Elan Majzner!

The Neil J. Schwartz Cup honors longtime coach Neil Schwartz, who coached the NELL Major League Dodgers for three decades in the 70s, 80s, and 90s as well as youth basketball teams. This award is given to a minor league player who demonstrates great sportsmanship, leadership and plays the game of baseball with integrity.

Nominations are made by coaches and the winner is selected by the NSELL commissioners.

This year the league selected Elan Majzner as the 2025 NSELL Zisi Cup Winner! Congratulations Elan!

Elan is the ultimate teammate. He comes to practice and games with great intensity and joy that uplifts the entire team. He plays hard and supports his teammates throughout every practice and game. Always insists on leading the team stretches. Most notably, he is the first player to pick up a teammate when they make an error or strike out. Consistent with his character- he is willing to do the "dirty work" and regularly play catcher. He happens to be a great defender back there and a great battery mate for our pitching staff!
