Dear Parents,
If your child is hoping to play in the Majors division this season, there’s one important step left—attending the tryout! This is a mandatory part of the process before entering the Majors draft, and we want to make sure every player gets their chance to show off their skills. Playing Majors this past fall does not guarantee Majors placement this spring. If your player was not in Majors in SPRING 2024, they must try out, even if they were in Majors in Fall 2024. Also, while participating in the tryouts does not guarantee a spot in Majors, not trying out means your child will automatically be placed in AAA.

Time Slots: 9:30 AM – 12:00 PM
Location: Newton South Gym
The tryout is a low-pressure, fun session where our Majors coaches get to see the kids run through some basic drills. We have collected piles of data on all players since they entered NSELL - coaches' evaluations, GameChanger statistics, advanced scouting reports, Hittrax, Statcast, biomedical projections and assorted AI models
. As much as anything the tryouts are to see who's grown a foot over the winter or spent a ton of time in the cages. No child should feel like their future rides on this quick workout alone.
